If you join and buy a ‘Combi’ pack you will receive a booklet with details of the commission structure. This contains diagrams which make the following easier to understand! There is a choice of Combi packs, all include products (which you can sell and/or try yourself) and a range of books and brochures about the products. You can join without buying a Combi pack if you wish.
Once you have signed the paperwork you can buy the products at wholesale prices, which are 30% lower than the retail price. Everyone involved in FLP gets the same discount, no matter which level they are at. There are other bonuses which rise with the grade.
Forever Living work in over 140 countries. All use the same ‘currency’ to calculate commission. It is called the Case Credit (CC). In the UK, each CC is currently based on retail sales of £171 inc VAT, equivalent to £120 at the wholesale level (inc VAT). Each product has a CC value depending on its cost. For example, a tube of toothpaste will have a CC value of 0.028.
The lowest level is Distributor. Distributors are normally customers who wish to order at lower prices and are willing to order a minimum of £100 wholesale for the first order, and £50 for subsequent orders. Distributors do not receive a Personal Volume Bonus.
The next level is Assistant Supervisor. To reach this level you must sell products for a total value of 2 CCs during a period of two consecutive months – that’s a total of 2 CCs in a two month period, NOT 2CCs in each month. Of course you can do this during the one month if you wish. You can kickstart your business by making a first purchase to the value of 2 CCs (so you would join as an Assistant Supervisor); future purchases need to be for a minimum of £50.00. In case that isn’t clear, you need to sell products with a total retail cost of £342 (2 x £171). The exception is a ‘Combi’ box which counts as 2 CC even though its retail value is much less (£199.75). Most people buy a ‘Combi’ box and enter at the Assistant Supervisor level. As well as the 30% retail profit, an Assistant Supervisor will receive a Personal Volume Bonus (PVB) of 5% of total sales. The sales of anyone you sign up as a Distributor will count towards your PVB. So if you have sold 4 CC in a month and a Distributor you recruited sells 1 CC, your PVB will be calculated on 5 CC. Once you reach this, or any other level, you do not go ‘backwards’ if sales drop in the following months. Each level is ‘permanent’ until you qualify for the next highest level, even if you take a few months off.
The next level is Supervisor. To reach this level your team’s sales (including yours) need to total 25 CC in a two month period. You will receive 30% profit on your own sales, plus an 8% personal Volume Bonus on your sales, plus a 3% Group Volume Bonus calculated on the sales of Assistant Supervisors in your team.
Next is Assistant Manager. Entry level is 75 CCs in a two month period. You receive your 30% retail profit on your own sales, a Personal Volume Bonus of 13% on your own sales, plus a Group Volume Bonus calculated on 5% of Supervisor’s sales and 8% of Assistant Supervisor’s sales.
The next level is Manager. Entry level is 120 CCs in a two month period. Again, you receive 30% retail profit on your own sales, plus your Personal Volume Bonus of 18% of your own sales, plus 5% of any Assistant Managers in your team, plus 10% of Supervisor’s sales, plus 13% of Assistant Supervisor’s sales.
There are various levels of Manager, depending on how many Managers you have in your team. The more there are, the higher your earnings. Managers also qualify for the Car Plan and Profit Sharing.
It should be obvious that the more people you recruit, and the higher those recruits get in the hierarchy, the more you earn. There are several people in FLP now earning well in excess of £200,000 per year.
The following is a statutory warning required by the Direct Selling Association, of which FLP is a member.
"It is illegal for a promoter or a participant in a trading scheme to persuade anyone to make a payment by promising benefits for getting others to join a scheme. Do not be misled by claims that high earnings are easily achieved."
